The purpose of the project is to offer better passenger facilities, to offer opportunities for attracting new investments in the context of sustainable development and the protection of the particular local environment. Significantly, it will also upgrade the services for the residents of Paros, facilitating their travel to the mainland, for health services and other “central” services.

Η επέκταση του αεροδρομίου Πάρου, δείχνει το δρόμο
Σκοπός του έργου: Να προσφέρει μια αναβαθμισμένη επιβατική εμπειρία. Να προσφέρει ευκαιρίες για προσέλκυση νέων επενδύσεων στο πλαίσιο της βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης και της προστασίας της ιδιαίτερης τοπικής φυσιογνωμίας. Να αναβαθμισθεί η εξυπηρέτηση των κατοίκων της Πάρου, οι οποίοι πλέον αποκτούν ακόμη πιο εύκολη πρόσβαση στην ηπειρωτική χώρα, σε υπηρεσίες υγείας και άλλες κεντρικές υπηρεσίες. Επίσης θα αποκτήσουν άμεση πρόσβαση σε ευρωπαϊκούς ή γειτονικούς προορισμούς.
L’extension de l’aéroport de Paros, montre la voie
Objectif du projet : Offrir plus d’aisance et un meilleur service aux passagers. Offrir des opportunités pour attirer de nouveaux investissements dans le cadre du développement durable et de la protection de la physionomie locale. Améliorer la mobilité des résidents de Paros, qui vont avoir désormais un accès encore plus facile au continent, aux services de santé et aux autres services « centraux ».

Dear friends of Peter
Sorry – it took some time to write this.
Above all, because we could not fully believe it. And still do not really understand it. Peter was much too alive to die. But he did – at least as alive as possible. He died on April 23, 2021, clear-headed, aware of his situation, without complaint at three o’clock in the morning at the Health Center in Paros.

Μέσα στις πολλές απόψεις που ακούγονται υπέρ και κατά της επέκτασης του αεροδρομίου της Πάρου, με μια μερίδα να θεωρεί την επέκταση αυτή προϋπόθεση για την καλύτερη εξυπηρέτηση των μεταφορών του νησιού και μια άλλη να θεωρεί ότι οδηγεί αναπόφευκτα σε αλόγιστη «ανάπτυξη» και καταστροφή του, σαν ‘μάνα’ εξ ουρανού ανακοινώθηκε το σχέδιο ανάπτυξης δικτύου μεταφορών με υδροπλάνα και 30 υδατοδρόμια στο Νότιο Αιγαίο και 150 σε ολόκληρη τη χώρα.
Les hydravions sont-ils la solution?
Parmi les nombreux points de vue qui se font entendre pour et contre l’expansion de l’aéroport de Paros, plusieurs personnes considérent cette expansion comme une condition pour un meilleure offre des transports desservant l’île et d’autres considérent qu’elle conduit inévitablement à un type de «développement» imprudent et à la destruction du caractère cycladique de l’île.
Are seaplanes the solution?
Among the many points of view that are heard for and against the expansion of Paros airport, several people see this expansion as a condition for a better offer of transport serving the island and others consider that it leads inevitably to a reckless kind of “development” and to the destruction of the Cycladic character of the island. The recent plan to create a network of hydroports and 30 seaplane water landing strips in the southern Aegean Sea and 150 across the country has been heralded as a godsend.
