Paros Park is based on volunteerism, and welcomes visitors year-round for a variety of environmental, cultural and sport activities or just for a walk or a swim in this natural place.
The Environmental & Cultural Park of Paros was founded in 2009 aiming at the protection and enhancement of the 800 acres municipally owned peninsula of Aï Yannis Detis.
It’s primary ambition and purpose is to be a showcase of social service, which offers another perspective on the cultural and sustainable tourism on the Aegean Islands and in Greece.
A pioneer of its kind in the Cyclades, Paros Park is based on voluntarism, and welcomes visitors year-round for a variety of environmental, cultural and sport activities or just for a walk or a swim in this natural place.
The core of the summer activities is the Festival at the Park. In the frugal landscape of the beautiful peninsula of Ai-Yannis Detis, the performances are hosted in the Archilochos Theatre, built on the rocks by the sea with a unique view of Naoussa bay. The choice of Festival events corresponds to these characteristics, and seeks to offer its friends, who attend the events with a clear mind and an open heart, high quality recreation and participation in a genuine artistic experience. In parallel to the festival, Ciné Enastron, the open-air movie theatre venue at Paros Park, screens classic movies with free admittance.
