…Even if our efforts for help from government programs have not been successful, we did not abandon our dream.
A standard handmade pasta production workshop in Kamares of Paros has been the result of personal and self-financed effort of two young women who have dreamed of venturing an attempt at their homeland and they succeeded.
Two sisters, Efstratia and Mary, cherishing memories of their family wood-fired oven and their land’s real flavours, have tried in these difficult economic conditions and proved that when you try and have a dream, you have many chances to realise it.
“Parian Zymaraki” is a workshop – home and it is important for Paros and their visitors as there one can find true, quality Parian flavours and feels the family atmosphere of a shop with care that is shown in the products as well as in the extremely careful packaging.
«”Parian Zymaraki” started as an idea in 2013. Even if our efforts for help from government programs have not been successful, we did not abandon our dream. With a lot of personal work and our own people’s assistance, who believed in us, in 2016 we managed to operate the workshop.
Raised in a small village of Paros, in Kamares, in a traditional family where the images and smell of our wood-fired oven were a daily routine, wishing not to lose the scents and flavours of our land, we created this small workshop where we aim at producing everything in accordance with the raw materials that the land of Paros offers every season. That’s why our production is limited but of excellent quality.
In our workshop, all products are handmade and baked in a traditional oven.
We produce rusks, pasta, trahanas, pies, cookies, and pack it in Kraft paper packages, which retain the aroma and taste. We also make traditional sweets and jams.
Despite these difficult times, we believe in the quality of our products, while our love for tradition gives us the power necessary to continue».
