Protecting Our Islands – Your Support Matters
Overbuilding is becoming a major problem on our islands, and quite often, it distorts the Cycladic landscape irreversibly. It aggravates the problems related to water management, waste, traffic, etc. Residents find themselves helpless when problems arise because the rules are often not appropriately enforced, and authorities frequently fail to fulfil their regulatory responsibilities.
Therefore, it sometimes becomes necessary to have independent technical expertise or even legal opinions, which requires having the necessary funds for this purpose.
The necessary payment of your annual fee of 50 euros is not enough to obtain such expertise and legal support.
This is why the Friends of Paros and Antiparos kindly ask you to pay, in addition to your annual fee, an additional sum into the account of our association (see below) with the mention “legal expertise”, the amount of which is left to your discretion.
Your contribution, no matter the amount, will help us take meaningful action to preserve the unique beauty of Paros and Antiparos.
Thank you for standing with us in this important cause!

I can’t believe that the gouvernement lets buildings houses with swimming pools ? Of course the water is not from the sea knowing that water is missing all over the world it’s undispicable . Just remember in 2024 in Naxos the number of caws killed because shortage of water. I am coming to Paros every year since 1989, will be back again in a few days but probably the last one. Government should be ashamed to let doing all of this, I am from Switzerland I am not criticising only Paros it’s all over the world the same, the government LOVE MONEY my country is not better.
I always love Paros for me it was just the last stop before Paradise … if it exists
More development and you will cease to be Greek and become just another tourist destination. Please act now before it is too late!
