Guided Visit to the ancient marble quarries of Marathi

Join us for a guided visit to the area of the ancient quarries in Marathi led by the archaeologist-guide Georgia Papadopoulou (language: English & Greek).
We will see the signs of progress for the creation of an Archaeological and Cultural Park in the quarries’ area and for our long-term vision for the park to be recognised as a World Heritage site.

Departure point: At the start of the paved footpath in the archaeological area where it meets the main road Parikia-Lefkes
Duration: approx. 90 mins

Ελάτε μαζί μας για μια ξενάγηση στην περιοχή των αρχαίων λατομείων στο Μαράθι με επικεφαλής την αρχαιολόγο-ξεναγό Γεωργία Παπαδοπούλου (γλώσσα: αγγλικά & ελληνικά).
Θα δούμε τα σημάδια προόδου για τη δημιουργία Αρχαιολογικού και Πολιτιστικού Πάρκου στην περιοχή των λατομείων και για το μακροπρόθεσμο όραμά μας για την αναγνώριση του πάρκου ως Μνημείο Παγκόσμιας Κληρονομιάς.

Σημείο αναχώρησης: Στην αρχή του πλακόστρωτου μονοπατιού στην αρχαιολογική περιοχή, όπου συναντά τον κεντρικό δρόμο Παροικίας-Λεύκες

Rejoignez-nous pour une visite guidée de la zone des anciennes carrières de Marathi, conduite par l’archéologue-guide Georgia Papadopoulou (langues : anglais et grec).
Nous verrons les signes de progrès pour la création d’un parc archéologique et culturel dans la zone des carrières et pour notre vision à long terme pour que le parc soit reconnu comme un site du patrimoine mondial.

Point de départ : Au début du sentier pavé dans la zone archéologique, à l’endroit où il rencontre la route principale Parikia-Lefkes.
Durée : environ 90 minutes
